China-ASEAN New Energy Forum Opens in Chengdu

Government officials, researchers and entrepreneurs from China and ASEAN countries have met in Chengdu to promote the technological innovation and market development of new energies and renewable energies in the region.

The seminar, sponsored by ACFIC and organized by the New Energy Chamber of Commerce, was held in Chengdu of Sichuan Province on September 28 on the sidelines of the 5th China (Chengdu) New Energy International Forum.

Under the theme of "promoting regional cooperation and development of new energies and renewable energies", participants exchanged views on the technologies, marketing conditions, trends and cooperation regarding solar, wind, biomass, and geothermal energies among China and ASEAN countries.

Organizers say the seminar has great significance for improving the energy structure and green house gass emissions in East Asia, and tightening the exchange and cooperation in new energy and renewable energy technologies and industries. It also provides a platform for the Chinese new energy enterprises to do business in East Asian markets.
