Nepalese President Meets ACFIC Vice Chairman

Nepalese President Ram Baran Yadav spoke highly of ACFIC"s work over the past decades in promoting Sino-Nepalese trade and economic exchanges and cooperation in the private sectors.Yadav made the remarks during his talks with a group of leading Chinese entrepreneurs led by Quan Zhezhu, ACFIC First Vice Chairman and Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, at the conclusion of the Shanghai Expo on October 31.

Yadav said he and the Nepalese government will give their unwavering support to the trade and economic cooperation and investment activities between the private sectors of the two countries.

Quan said that since China and Nepal established diplomatic ties 55 years ago, bilateral relations have overcome various challenges against the vicissitudes of global affairs and serves as a model of equality, harmony and mutual benefit in national relationships`.

A delegation of Chinese businessmen led by Quan attended the 11th meeting of Nepal-China Non-Governmental Cooperation Forum in Nepal in September. The two sides agreed to further expand bilateral economic ties by tapping opportunities inhydro power, agriculture,tourism and other sectors.

Quan said that the Nepal-China Non-Governmental Cooperation Forum, established by the federations of commerce and industry of both countries in 1996, has become an important channel for tightening Sino-Nepalese trade and economic cooperation in the private sectors, as well as a platform for deepening mutual understanding and cooperation of their entrepreneurs.
