Zhou Rong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Bijie of Guizhou Province, said that ACFIC has played an important role in helping his city with outside investment invitation, major projects construction, poverty relief and development. Zhou made the remarks during talks with ACFIC Vice Chairman Xie Jingrong in Beijing on January 17.

 

Zhou said that the State Council's October 22, 2011 decision to upgrade Bijie's status from a district to a city will facilitate Bijie's strategic plans for urbanization, industrialization, tourism and ecologically-friendly development.

 

Xie hoped that Bijie will make continuous leaping development in the future and urged the city to attach greater importance to the society's comprehensive development, pay more attention to the poor and disadvantaged population, and narrow the urban and rural gap.

 

ACFIC Poverty Relief and Social Service Department Director Wang Gangzhi, Deputy Director Liu Jian and General Office Deputy Inspector Zhang Shangdong attended the meeting.
