ACFIC is a national organization with regional branches in all the provinces, autonomous regions, cities and counties. Each regional branch may have a number of trade unions under its leadership.
The ACFIC National Congress is its top authority. It convenes every five years to revise the ACFIC Charter, discuss and decide on the major issues, review and approve the working report of the Executive Committee, and elect executive members.
The ACFIC Executive Committee meets once a year to execute the decisions made by the National Congress, discuss the working report of the Standing Committee, discuss and decide on the strategies and major tasks of the ACFIC, and elect Chairman, Vice Chairmen and Standing Committee members.
The ACFIC Standing Committee consists of Chairman, Vice Chairmen and committee members who can serve no more than two five-year terms. The Standing Committee, which is held twice a year, executes the decisions made by the Executive Committee, discusses the strategies and tasks of the ACFIC, and report to the Executive Committee.
The ACFIC Chairman presides over the daily work of the ACFIC national offices. The Chairman and Vice Chairmen constitute the Chairmen Meeting that decides on the major issues concerning the operation of the ACFIC offices. Currently there are nine full-time chairmen who usually serve no more than two five-year terms and 19 part-time chairmen who usually serve one five-year term.
