Qiu Xiaoping, vice chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), met with a delegation led by He Jinglin, the Macau deputy to the National People’s Congress and the president of the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau, on March 16, 2023.

The two sides spoke highly of the just-concluded “two sessions” of the country and sincerely supported General Secretary Xi Jinping’s re-election as the president of the People’s Republic of China. Discussions were centered on promoting cooperation and exchanges between Macau and Chinese Mainland, giving full play to Macau’s role of “one center, one platform and one base” and the strategic advantage of China’s new “dual circulation” development paradigm, increasing private enterprises’ participation in high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, and promoting the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The meeting was also attended by officials from the International Cooperation Department of ACFIC, China Chamber of Tourism, China Mergers & Acquisitions Association, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Medical and Pharmaceutical Chamber, China Environment Chamber of Commerce, China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector, and China Cultural Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector, Beijing Youth Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce, as well as leaders in charge of Meituan.
